Identify your practice today
for general dentists, hygienist-led practices, implants, cosmetic and orthodontics · 23 October 2026
A patient asks an assistant which dentist to go to, and it answers with a name. It picks the practice whose page says what a crown costs and whether they take the insurance. Yours doesn't say it. Your parents' generation had this morning once, with a website, and the practices that waited spent four years saying people still find us.
Your own profession has already put this on its syllabus, and it was not a dentist who taught the hour. On 16 September 2026 the Academy of General Dentistry listed a one-hour continuing-education session, free, worth 1 CE credit, under subject code 550, titled — and this is its real title — "How to Be the Dentist ChatGPT Recommends." Its own stated objectives include "learn the exact strategies to become the dentist AI actually recommends." The speaker, per the Academy's own page, is the director of marketing at a dental marketing agency.
Read that twice. A national dental body awarded accredited credit for this question, for free, and the person at the front of the room was a supplier. Nobody has had to convince your profession that the question is real. It is already worth a credit.
And the thing the hour cannot do for you is the only thing that matters. No agency can publish your fees, your appointment availability or your actual turnaround on a lab case, because those are facts and they are yours. When an assistant named a practice in our own measurement, the reason it gave was always a sentence on that practice's own page — not a strategy, a sentence.
So you ought to write them today, while the credit is still new. You already answer these at the desk a hundred times a month. Gala for your practice is where a patient's assistant can reach them without ringing the desk. Bring one topic's worth about each of twelve things a patient needs before they will book — Findability, Qualifiability, Bookability, Predictability, Visibility, Automability, Memory, Continuity, Reachability, Countability, Answerability, Learnability — and you qualify. Then you answer the ninety questions yourself. Not an agency. You.
